Hay Bay Route

Trail Description:

You could call this the transition route. Farms and wetlands with limestone outcroppings surround the village of Tamworth. As you travel north, the landscape changes rapidly. The hard road surface and fields give way to gravel road, granite, and evergreens as the trail meanders along through the southern edge of the Canadian Shield. Watch out for wildlife. Please note: parts of County Road 15 are under construction beginning in the fall of 2005.
